The City of Carnation is accepting applications for three (3) Planning & Parks Board positions that will be vacant January 2026. There are two (2) full four-year terms available, as well as one (1) two-year term to replace a member who is concluding service early.
Requirements:
Applicant board members must either live within Carnation city limits or the urban growth area boundary.
Appointment Timeline:
- Monday 11/24/25: Applications Due
- Tuesday 01/06/26: Carnation City Council appoints new members to the Planning & Parks Board
- Tuesday 01/27/26: New members are sworn in at a regular Planning & Parks Board Meeting

The Carnation Planning and Parks Board is a seven-member body comprised of an appointed group of Carnation residents that provide advice, counsel, and recommendations to the Carnation City Council regarding planning and parks matters. The Board meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.
