As flooding continues across the Pacific Northwest, The City of Carnation is staying in regular communication with our emergency and community partners to gather regional updates and resources.

ALERT King County
Sign up for this regional public information and notification service that helps you stay informed about potential hazards and threats in your area. You choose how and where you want to receive emergency information from King County:

King County Sandbag Program
The City of Carnation, in partnership with King County, offers a free sandbag program to help community members protect their property ahead of potential flooding. This is a self-fill station. Shovels and bags available.

Stay informed about current river conditions and forecasts directly on your cell phone.

PSE App – Outage Map
The best tool for reporting and tracking power outages. Report outages directly through PSE, as response is prioritized based on reported impact.

Report safety issues on county-maintained roads (downed trees, water over roadway, etc.). The County will need the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your address and phone number (in case more information is needed)
  • The location of the problem, including the nearest cross street and/or address
  • A description of the problem

When activated, King County staff are available 24/7 to answer questions and provide real-time river flow data, sandbag information, and flood phase updates, this is a FREE service available to the public.

The City of Carnation is in regular communication with Seattle Public Utilities, and they have assured us that the Tolt Dam is operating well within normal ranges.
